Open Hearts (OH) is a local-based Civil Society Organization established in 2023 and officially registered to operate from 2024 to 2029. OH, works to protect children and strengthen communities through integrated Child Protection (CP), Gender-Based Violence (GBV), psychosocial support, and Education in Emergencies (EiE) interventions. With a strong community-based approach, OH collaborates closely with volunteers, community support groups, and local stakeholders to improve access to essential services, mitigate protection risks, and create safe, inclusive spaces for children. Guided by its vision, “Love Conquers All,” OH is committed to delivering accountable, context-responsive, and sustainable programs that enhance child well-being and resilience. I am pleased to introduce Open Hearts (Myanmar), a Mandalay-based humanitarian and community-led organization dedicated to advancing protection, dignity, and resilience among vulnerable populations across Myanmar.

Open Hearts envisions a resilient, safe, and inclusive society where vulnerable individuals and communities live with dignity, opportunity, and protection. We are committed to fostering equal access to services, strengthening community safety, and promoting inclusive social development that ensures no one is left behind.

Our mission is to promote and facilitate access to human rights, child and family protection, health support, and social development through coordinated and community-driven interventions. We implement comprehensive programs that address immediate humanitarian needs while building long-term resilience.

Our core program areas include:

• Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Protection Services

• Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Awareness and Women’s Empowerment

• Community Resilience and Emergency Preparedness

• Inclusive Support for Vulnerable Groups, including children, women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly

• Cash Assistance and Basic Needs Distribution

• Capacity Strengthening and Support to Local Partners

As a local-led humanitarian actor, Open Hearts works closely with community leaders, local civil society organizations, and relevant coordination clusters to ensure effective, accountable, and needs-based programming. We uphold humanitarian principles and protection standards while maintaining strong accountability mechanisms, including feedback and information-sharing systems that ensure communities actively participate in and shape the assistance they receive.

Our approach is grounded in dignity-first programming, inclusivity, and long-term resilience building. We believe sustainable impact is achieved through community ownership, transparency, and collaboration.
